And Here Comes the Sun …

May has been quite an interesting month so far. The highlight, to date, has been my very first sighting of a Tawny Owl (Attenborough); the whitethroats, willow warblers, chiffchaffs etc. are singing all over the place and we have had sightings of little tern, black tern, arctic tern and a black-necked grebe. Butterflies are on the wing, at last – lots of brimstones and orange-tips; and a very nice little green hairstreak this week. Here are a few of the winged creatures that have been entertaining us.
