Just in from Foto Klub Novi Sad, the first acceptances of new images towards my FIAP / Gold accreditation. The model here is Mason, first in Peaky Blinders mode in Time Gone and then in Penance, a loose interpretation of the Atlas myth.
And this is Devonn in Through a Glass Darkly, part of a modern gangster set.
Finally, the really versatile and professional model, Rachelle Summer, as a Cabaret Dancer.
A handful of my older images also got accepted with a couple of awards, but they don’t count towards Gold, so will now be retired after a year’s hard work on my behalf.

Well, it’s been quite a good couple of weeks for me. I finally achieved my BPE5* and was notified that I had been successful in achieving my EFIAP/bronze. (explanations of acronyms here). So, I’m off on my journey towards EFIAP/silver, and these are the first acceptances along the way. They went to the UPSA Exhibition in California as Monochrome prints and all four were accepted. Only three count towards the silver, as Crowning Glory is an older picture, but I’m up and running (well, crawling really). I have yet to make up my mind whether to pursue any further accreditation with the BPE.
From top left, clockwise: Behind the Mask (which won a Ribbon), Stoned, The Neck Corset, Crowning Glory.

I’m presently getting a bank of new pictures ready for when I can begin competing for my EFIAP Silver level. None Shall Pass has been created from a studio shot of a brilliant young model, Emily, and a background from Southwell Workhouse. It was a productive day in the studio and there are, hopefully, a few more images in the pipeline.

18 acceptances from the 5th Greek Photographic Circuit, with The Sorceress continuing its run of awards with a Diploma 3; three new images got their first acceptances – The Seventh Veil, Great Heron Taking Off and Male Bearded Tit; and four fairly recent images also did well – Study in Red, Trinity, Medusa and Regrets. Happy with that, as they say.

This is Hello, Old Friend, a picture I shot quite a few years ago and a firm favourite of mine. Today, the guys from Attenborough Nature Reserve asked if they could feature it in an article in the Nottingham Evening Post this Saturday. Of course they can!
And, on the same day, a request from BBC Radio Nottingham to feature this picture of a grey heron, again taken at Attenborough Nature Reserve, on their website, as part of the daily round-up. Of course they can!
